Embracing Wanderlust
I’m Cait, and to say that I have the travel bug is an understatement. Growing up, I was that kid who would call out “I’m bored” in the car on their way home from Six Flags. Although I did some decent traveling with my family as a kid, it wasn’t until after college that I really started to embrace my wanderlust.
After college, I began my teaching career working 10 hour days while also going to grad school. I saved up, paid off my loans, and so began my travels. In 2014 I set a goal to visit at least one new place a year. By 2015, I had visited 5 US national parks, 6 new countries and at least 15 new cities. I clearly needed a more ambitious goal. 2014 also marks the year that I picked up and moved to Maryland, met my amazing husband, Chris, and started dragging him along on my adventures.
Travel quickly became an obsession. I often have multiple trips planned at a time. By the time we get back from one trip, the next one is ready to be booked. While I have many places on my bucket list, I have a special place in my heart for the national parks right here in this amazing country. So, Chris and I set a goal to see every one of the 59 US National Parks! Join us on our journey by following us on Instagram and Facebook.
